“Growing Our Minds Beyond The Stigma“
Hello, I’m so glad you’re here! π
I created this mental health blog as a coping mechanism to use after I got out of the hospital. I enjoy writing, learning, and teaching people about mental health!
It was also created because I want people to have somewhere to go to get the basics. When I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder in December 2016, while I was pregnant with my daughter, I felt completely alone. I didn’t know anyone else who had any of those illnesses. I didn’t know who I could talk to. The psychiatrist that diagnosed me was not helpful at all and when I tried researching online, I couldn’t understand anything I read.
So the purpose of this blog is to explain mental health to people in a way that is easier for them to understand. Whether they have a disorder, or do not. You can never know too much!
When I am writing on a topic I could benefit using real life experience on, I ask for people who would like to send in anonymous testimonials of their own experiences. I love giving people a voice. Who better to explain an illness than someone who actually lives with it everyday? Not only is it reassuring to read that someone else has the same mental illness, it also shows people they are not alone.

I will never make you pay to read my posts; however, I am accepting donations so I can maintain my blog. I greatly appreciate anything given. You can donate to either my PayPal or Cashapp accounts in the menu bar. π
